By sixteen years of age, Steve had been drinking so much he was already sitting in bars all day. He loved the feeling of drinking, and ignored the effects on his heath. Even Steve’s doctor sounded the alarm to his teenage drinking. Alcoholism affected his schooling and social life, often not getting along with most people. Steve isn’t sure how he graduated high school, but he took a job at an aluminum factory were drinking was the norm among the workers. Later in life, his attempts to get sober were fruitless, and Steve says the alcohol was the love of his life.
